Overview

AAT had their hearts set upon private cloud. However, through continued interaction with Azured, began to see the merit that Azure could provide to address their end-of-life hardware concerns.

The Solution

Azured mapped out AATs environment to understand what needed to be moved, changed or left behind. This information was then combined with service availability and performance data which was mapped into AAT’s Azure future state design. Azured then trickled data into Azure, performing a series of user acceptance and performance tests prior to performing a seamless, zero outage cutover into Azure.

Azured subsequently handed this environment over to their Managed Services team to be responsible for both the reactive (break fix) and proactive (architectural support) prior to the environment’s go-live, ensuring a smooth transition of support for AAT’s users.

The Result

AAT did not want Public Cloud. Public Cloud had been deemed too high a risk when compared to traditional alternatives. It was only through an extensive consultative process that AAT began to realise the benefits of what a migration to Azure could mean for them and how moving to Azure was the only truly safe and low risk option. An option which guaranteed the ongoing health, security and growth of their business.

The scalability and reliability that came with Azure, combined with the seamless nature of transition of services, Public Cloud has fast become the bedrock of AAT’s IT environment.

The Azured teams’ approach to strategic planning ensured the seamless delivery of a complex and critical business platform. With their extensive experience and strong communications plans, we were always confident we’d achieve the best outcomes for our business.
