Anthony has dedicated his entire professional career to IT. Prior to founding Azured, Anthony’s experience supporting 1,000 seat organisations working with multi-million-dollar budgets, shaped and influenced his sharp business acumen. However, it was the brief time spent developing a social enterprise café that sparked Anthony’s vision for a new and different type of corporate IT culture. Anthony believes it is the people, their curiosity, approachability and attitude, that has led the evolution of Azured to the company it is today. Under his leadership, the Azured team are always on the hunt for a problem to solve. The team work together to make plans possible, simplifying challenging processes and ensuring constant incremental improvement for customers. All whilst being able to have a laugh and even a round of Brazilian jiu-jitsu together. Anthony holds over 20 industry certifications across Microsoft, Citrix & NetApp. When not offering inspirational advice to staff or assisting with mergers and acquisitions, you can find him sipping calmly, whatever the weather, on a cup of cold brew.

Martin Ferguson

FOUNDER

Martin is described by industry peers as a savant when it comes to Cloud computing. A title in acknowledgement of his extensive involvement with the UK’s roll out of Office 365, Martin has also worked with Microsoft Azure since inception. The sheer breadth of his knowledge, along with hands on experience makes him a truly unique founder. Martin has always believed in putting people first and nurturing natural talents and interests. This value has influenced the team culture at Azured and created a network of support and respect. A passionate mental health advocate, Martin has ensured that all Azured staff have the support and resources they need to succeed both professionally and personally. When not solving complex challenges, Martin can be found meditating, practising yoga or enjoying a cup of honey tea. Martin’s professional accolades are numerous and include delivering solutions for, or on behalf of Microsoft Consulting Services, Atos, Crimson, Dot Net Solutions, Vodafone, Rio Tinto and more.

Ray Brindley

FOUNDER

The mind behind many of Azured’s unique value propositions and trademarked solutions, Ray’s focus has been and continues to be keeping a watchful eye on emerging new technologies. In fact, Ray is so closely integrated with the evolving landscape that is Cloud, the team often fondly refer to him as “Ray-I” which, Ray welcomes, describing the most exciting thing about IT being that it always changes. Ray’s Cloud adeptness is reflected in his all-encompassing range of specialisations, covering the Microsoft stack of systems, Networking technologies (from switches and firewalls to VOIP and scripting) and automation of processes. Whilst Ray’s talent could be described as simply as ‘fixing problems with technology’, when combined with the breadth & depth of his knowledge and natural knack for all things tech, it is no surprise he is frequently in high demand. Since founding Azured, Ray has influenced a key component of our business ethos – Engineers have a say in what’s being delivered and we do not put forward solutions that do not make sense for the customer. An approach that has also encouraged our team to be engaging, friendly and customer focused. When Ray is not busy with deployments, you’ll find him on the ballroom dance floor helping his students identify their left and right feet or taking a cruise on his motorbike.

Daniel Dennett

HEAD OF DELIVERY

Since childhood, Dan has had a fascination with how computers worked and how to program them. This fascination led to a career spanning various desktop, server and website hosting support roles to finally arrive at database administration. However, realising the potential of PaaS and server-less technologies, Dan sought to focus his expertise in a more direct capacity, helping customers make technology work for them, and not vice-versa. Dan joined the Azured Team in June 2019. Originally recruited for his unsurpassed experience in Data Analytics and Application Development, it wasn’t long before Dan’s calm demeanour, pragmatic approach to problem solving and inclusive nature became recognised within the growing team. With all the makings of a modern-day leader, today his role has extended to enabling Azured’s engineers focus on, and be successful in, delivering value to customers. Unlike other members of the team, Dan is not a fan of technology for technology’s sake but rather when the enhancement of our personal or professional lives are realised as a result. For this reason, Dan has also instinctually evolved Azured’s own internal process development; identifying and acting on opportunities for the team, systems and processes to improve. Whilst balancing the demands of a growing delivery team, Dan’s ideal customer engagements include business process automation and Power BI. When he’s not being fought over to lead a team to victory on trivia night, you’ll find Dan tucked away enjoying a cinematic classic.
